2016 is coming to an end and I’ve come to reflect on the past year of events in these last two weeks. 2016 has been a year of new experiences, friendships, and travels, it’s come to define a large part of me. I’ve resigned from an amazing job in order to spend the last few months travelling to new destinations back-to-back like Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Morocco. Doing what I do, I’m always documenting my experiences as I go, so that I can share them with all of you on my blog and Instagram. It’s not just a part of my lifestyle but also my work. Being in all these new destinations inspired and thrilled me… I couldn’t stop photographing my surroundings and thinking about the content I could create.
Embracing the present is everything and it’s come to be the biggest lesson I’ve learnt this year. Heck, I’m done with the ‘new year, new me’ crap, enough self-reflection. I’m living in the NOW and I’m doing me and I’m loving it. I threw a party at home last week with good friends and Moet & Chandon and we just celebrated the NOW. No second thoughts, no overthinking. Life’s too short: have that second, even third glass of champagne; wear the high heels; buy that new suit. It’s been a great year, but what really matters is having a great time with the people that mean most to me. London, thank you for yet another year. We drank to our heart’s content, ran around my neighbourhood in the middle of the night singing to Kool & The Gang, we popped balloons and yes, it was chaos, but it was the time of our lives and I can’t end the year on a better high. Thank you Moet & Chandon for the fabulous drinks! I like to think we drank responsibly and partied responsibly.
